Not Racist, Not Violent, No Longer Silent!

Not that I've *ever* been particularly silent about anything I disagreed with.... but stating an obvious point that needs to be made. I've had it past my eyeballs with the jerkweeds of the main scream media who rail against the members of the TEA party movement. Calling them "tea baggers" is vile beyond belief.

What amazed me (and eludes them) is that WE on the right had to run to our new urban slang dictionaries to find out what a "tea bagger" even was! Yet... this activity was something that the left seemed to know about almost instinctively. I think that speaks volumes about them.

The left and the media (OOPS!! Same thing!) is also in the obnoxious habit of calling the TEA party people violent and offensive..... a "mob" of lawless radicals who need to be clamped down on hard. The reality is 180 degrees out from the image projected.

Did you know that members of the TEA party actually held a rally where they came ARMED? Yep! Packing heat in plain sight of everyone! Know what happened? Know what kind of carnage was dispensed by this out of control mob or gun toting kooks? Nothing. Zip..... Zero..... Nadda. As a matter of fact the more gun toting "Protesters" that showed up.... the MORE relaxed the police became!

Why do you suppose that was? Answer. The members of the TEA party are law abiding citizens who know their rights and support the constitution. If you study the pictures of a TEA party rally site you'll discover that it is cleaner AFTER a rally than before! Try making that point anytime the left holds a rally.

Well.... lets just make that point right now, shall we? I'll let you pick the site of ANY genuine TEA party gathering..... any one you like. Now then.... I'll pick a recient example of the left getting together to make their voice heard. Let's take a look at the following headline:

PHOENIX (AP) - the conflict over a sweeping crackdown on illegal immigration in Arizona intensified Monday as vandals smeared re fried beans on the side of the State capital Building in the shape of swastika.

Don't you just love those fun loving peaceful folks on the left when they come out to protest? Gee... I know *I* sure do! They are so peaceful and law abiding..... never have to worry about them doing anything to break the law or be uncivil. Imagine how much more peaceful and non-violent their rally could have been if *they* had come armed? Oh.... wait..... they *did* throw rocks and bottles and everything else they could get their hands on at the police who were attempting to maintain order. Probably a good thing that only evil violent members of the TEA party show up at rallies with fire arms.

And while, if you watched FOX news, you could see the protest in context.... and how uncivil the protesters were..... I had to read 4 pages of material from the AP to find that one lone mention of anything out of the norm about the day. No mention of the violence towards the police.... no mention of the name calling..... no mention of the threats of more violence. The AP and every other left wing rag simply glossed over those minor details and said instead that the rallies were "mostly peaceful'"

Well HELL! By that definition.... World War was "mostly peaceful" since it was often days or weeks or months between major confrontations. Yet.... when the TEA party holds a rally we are warned by the media... even by current and former Presidents.... that violence is looming just under that calm appearing surface. That we ought not let the kindly faces of all that grandpa's and grandma's lull us into a false sense of security. They are just waiting for the right moment to explode into violence against the state!

Let's review. One day..... yesterday the 25th of April in Phoenix Arizona..... the left holds a "protest" described BY the left as "mostly peaceful." We have "thousands of protesters and ONLY 5 arrests." Not bad folks on the left! Contrast that good behavior with with those evil TEA party mobs of angry out of control anti-government kooks. All together something on the order of over 5 million "protesters" gathering in multiple cities around the country over months and months..... and one rally where they came ARMED even! My GOD! The carnage!! Oh..... wait....... Hmmmmm...... not so much as a ticket for J-walking. Absolutely nothing!

As usual it seems that you can't actually believe a damn thing the left wing media tells you about anything. (what's new there?) And just for the record.... we're told (by the left) that it's not nice for the TEA party to be out there protesting against the state. They are labeled "Anti-Government" by Obama and the leftists of the government controlled media.

But let's think about that for just one little minute here... shall we? Obama and the media (now that THEY are in power) tell us that "anti-government" is now wrong. Then aren't all those protesters in Phoenix also WRONG because the Governor of the state passed a law letting the police now ask about the immigration status of someone in a routine traffic stop or other police activity. Since it's a LAW that makes it GOVERNMENT.... so if you protest it.... aren't you by definition now "Anti-Government" too?

Not to worry.... it's just that old Liberal double standard still alive and well. Like the "Chicken Heart" of the old Bill Cosby routine...... that double standard's heart is still beating and won't die. Okay for the left to do something.... EVIL if we on the right do the exact same thing... only peacefully.

Here is the problem. NO ONE in Washington D.C. wants to do what has to be done to secure our borders! THAT is the problem pure and simple. Why? It's called pandering for votes. So called immigration reform is nothing more than attempting to grant citizenship to over 12 million people here against our laws.... so they have the right to VOTE just in time for the next election.

Now to whom do you suppose the majority of those votes will go? Might it be to those wonderful people in Washington D.C. who are giving them all sorts of goodies for FREE? Ya think?

How about a little look at that evil new law that has everyone so pissed off. (with the rare exception of over 70% of the population of Arizona.... but what to *they* know?) Okay.... before.... the police stop you for speeding in Phoenix. You can't speak a word of English.... expect to say that you don't speak English. No big deal. If I was stopped in Mexico I speak only poco Spanish. BUT... our law then said that no matter HOW suspicious things looked... that officer was forbidden from asking anything about your citizenship status. That's correct! It was actually illegal for a law enforcement officer to attempt to enforce the law! (Only in America, folks)

Okay... so why are they all pissed off now? Well gee whiz..... the law basically says that during the course of any routine police activity..... the police can now ask for proof of citizenship if they have reason to believe you may not be here legally. HOW EVIL can you get? Expecting people to actually enter your country legally? Damn! What is this country coming to?

Okay... now... try *this* on for size. Go ahead..... enter Mexico illegally.... see what happens to your ass..... I dare you! Anyone on the left care to take me up on that challenge? I mean... if it's okay for them to come HERE illegally.... they it should be equally okay with Mexico if we go there illegally too. Right?

Uhhh,,,, WRONG! If you enter Mexico without A) a valid drivers license, B) a certified copy of your birth certificate, C) a valid passport, D) stay beyond 72 hours, E) go farther than 20 miles into Mexico..... you are subject to immediate arrest AND IMPRISONMENT of up to two years BEFORE being unceremoniously deported!! And to think.... WE are the ones they say are being too hard in illegals. Imagine that!

Mexico has years of the practice of corruption on us.... but thanks to the Obama administration... we're catching up fast! He openly criticized the Governor of Arizona for passing the "ill conceived" law. Perhaps the alleged "constitutional law professor" should READ the document he is supposed to be so familiar with. The security of our borders and the regulation of interstate commerce are the ONLY two tasks assigned to the Federal Government. Had *any* of the previous administrations taken half of those tasks seriously.... Arizona would not be in the position it's in today. Our southern border looks more like a toll road having a "drive for free" day than it does a secure border.

While Mexico likes their citizens to illegally enter OUR country (They even publish a little booklet telling their citizens HOW to do it) they don't blink an eye at tossing US Citizens in jail for making the trip the other way. And... like the left wing media..... they largely ignore or attempt to gloss over any differences between the laws of the two nations. For example.......

An illegal can openly protest in America with little fear of anything happening. Any foreigner openly protesting in Mexico is subject to immediate arrest. Illegals are encouraged to work in America. In Mexico you have to get special permission from the state to work and it has to be a needed skill. Illegals typically come here damn near broke hoping to earn some money. If you want to go to Mexico to live you MUST provide a bank statement proving that you have the minimum monthly income required. Just remember.... WE are the bad guys. WE are the ones with the harsh unfair laws.

So... repeat after me..... Left GOOD! Right.... EVIL!!! US laws BAD! Foreign laws GOOD! Tea party movement........ dangerous! Any protest by the left..... Peaceful. Now all face Washington D.C. and offer thanks (and all your money) to the great Obama. That's a good little citizen! Either get used to it or be prepared to vote them all out as soon as you can.

I have not been as regular in posting as I'd like.... which it probably for the best. With all the national destruction going on in Washington.... spearheaded by alleged Americans..... it's tough enough just to maintain my sanity.

Proud Americans have shed blood for this country for over two centuries to help keep it the "Shining beacon on the hill" in a world of tyrants and dictators. Now tyrants and petty little dictators in Washington are pissing all over my country and it's constitution.

After all, what other name can you give to people who refuse to listen to the over 70% of the nation who demanded they keep their damn hands OFF the health care system.... and rammed the legislation through anyway?

How evil is this piece of crap? It's even worse than you can imagine. It is blatant in its range and scope towards the destruction of the insurance industry, healthcare industry and the middle class of this nation. Let's take those one at a time shall we?

If you were watching the news today Queen Nancy Pelosi threatened the entire insurance industry. She threatened "congressional action" against ANY insurance company who dared to raise their rates. Oh? Really? Which begs the question.... why would the insurance industry need to raise their rates? How about BECAUSE of the infamous health care reform bill!

Let's see... they will now be *required* to cover all pre-existing conditions. That couldn't possibly increase costs, could it? And did you know who sets the distribution percentage of premium revenue? Do you know even what that is?

The federal government dictates that insurance companies must disburse 65% of all premium income to payment of claims. The remaining 35% is what covers all their expenses from rent to salaries. Guess what? The bill just passed *increases* the disbursement percentage to 85%!!

That means that all the operating expenses have to be paid with 20% less money. Just to get back to the status quo insurance companies would have to raise rates by 300%. That's NOT profit, folks. That's just keeping the bills paid. But Queen Nancy says they can't DO that. The point? Simply to put them out of business so the government is your ONLY option.

And how about the Medical side of things.... they don't escape either. The federal government already has a mountain of regulations piled upon their backs..... here comes that last straw. Medicare is being cut back by 800 billion.

Drug companies? In the bill is wording which reduces their profits by 90 billion dollars. So much for all that costly R & D work and hoops they have to jump through to bring something to market.

Wage scales for doctors..... so now some pencil necked geek in Washington DC will dictate what a doctor in Seattle Washington can earn. Shouldn't that be a factor of what that doctor has learned.... how he does his job... and how well his patients think of him? I mean.... if you know a lot of stuff and you do an outstanding job... and those who come to you for service are happy and willing to pay X amount..... shouldn't that indicate what you can charge? Not any more I guess.

Which brings us to the very backbone of this nation.... the middle class. Folks.... this freaking monstrosity contains over 156 NEW taxes. Think of that for a moment. It also provides for the hiring of 16,500 new IRS field agents to make SURE those taxes are collected too!

More insidious yet is the fact that now you have to PROVE to the IRS that you have health insurance! Yeah.... you heard me right. Not only that but it have to be the right *kind* of health insurance too.

And if you're a bad little citizen and don't comply the agent can fine you up to $2500 right on the spot! Refuse to pay? No problem, Comrade! The bill also gives the IRS direct access to ALL of your bank accounts.... they can just TAKE their pound of flesh.

The wealthy are under assault too with massive tax increases also. Obama has stated that his intention is to wipe out and reverse everything positive Reagan did for America. Reagan ushered in the greatest era of prosperity this nation has ever known! Which I guess means that Obama intends to usher in the greatest era of poverty and depression this nation has ever known. Tough to draw any other conclusion, isn't it?

Something that really bothers me is the democrats in Washington gloating that they "won" with the passage of the bill. Well.... if they "won" then someone had to have lost.... correct? Who lost was the 70% of the American people who demanded that government keep their damn hands OFF healthcare.

Some members of the democrat party in Washington are now whining that they are getting death threats. Much like what they have been (or not been) telling us about the wonderfulness of this bill..... I suspect again that they still are lying.... only now to make us feel sorry for them.

And Charlie Dingle (senior democrat) in a radio interview with Paul W Smith said in part.... "It takes time to put together the legislation necessary to control the people." And after all... wasn't that the true intent of this bill from the instant the pen touched paper?

For most of my life I've been looking forward to the time when I would be able to take a deep breath and retire in reasonable comfort in my beloved America. I've worked my butt off..... paid the mandatory taxes..... served in uniform..... left more than a few drops of blood around the world while serving..... and I should be able to finally just enjoy the later years of my life.

And my lovely wife (who I don't mention in this blog but devote another to entirely) has cancer and will be needing various health care services in the years to come. She has also made the mistake of living into her late 50's.... which means to some dick headed petty government bureaucrat reviewing her files... that she's lived long enough and isn't entitled to the care necessary to maintain her quality of life. In Obama's words.... "Maybe she should just take a pain pill."

While I'm still dreaming of retiring to the high desert....... and would love nothing more than to spend that time becoming even better friends with my lovely wife...... Costa Rica is starting to look pretty damn good for retirement. I think the sun has set on America.

One Year Later

During any year that a Republican holds the office of President.... about this time of year the following is all over the broadcast media and the print media. "One year later... and are you better off?" And of course the media scours the country looking for absolutely anyone who is down on their luck and props them up as just another example of how evil republican's are working against the average American.

Well. Media. It's officially one year after Obama took office and I'm still waiting for you to scour the nation and ask that question. OH! Right.... I almost forgot. Obama is a democrat.... not a republican..... so the question won't be ask of his administration.

And indeed... why should it be asked? Everything is just peaches and cream out here. Unemployment, which was a shameful 4.6% when Mr. Bush left office, is now at a vibrant and wonderful 10.2%.... provided you don't count those who have just plain given up looking for work. IF you factor those people in too.... then the actual rate is closer to 18%. Obviously a vast improvement over the inept Bush.

And let's not forget the housing market. Or perhaps we should. How about banking? Nah.... probably ought to not look too hard that way either. OH! I know... how about we tie the two together since there is a relationship? Well, when we do that we discover that the evil bankers have been guilty of attempting to make a profit! Yeah.... unheard of in the business world... but they were indeed trying to make a buck.

Then the Federal Government got involved and "fixed" their Neanderthal thinking. Government dictated that it was *much* more important to loan money to people with no verifiable income and without the ability to repay the loan than to worry about silly things like profit. So... rather than have some moronic Congressman or Congressional "oversight" committee "investigating" the banks for non-compliance with the law..... the banks kowtowed and passed out the bucks to anyone and everyone.... just like they were ordered to do.

Well! That sure got things rolling! Housing starts shot up... all the numbers looked rosy.... Congress was thumping it's chest proclaiming their support for the average home owner. Then those pesky monthly mortgage payments started to come due.... damn the luck. And *who* would have ever thought that someone with no verifiable income might not be able to make a $1500 a month mortgage note? Man... I know *I* would have never seen that one coming. (Yeah... right)

And of course Congress (you remember them..... the ones who ordered the banks to make those "risky" loans) screamed foul and decided to "investigate" the banks for their bad business practices! I mean... just because Congress *ordered* banks to make those loans.... certainly doesn't also mean that same Congress is, in any way, responsible. Oh, no! No matter what government screws up they are *never* responsible. So we have the two fold aftershock of government "help" for the private sector. #1.... the housing industry is near collapse because the money supply has suddenly dried up and there is a glut of pre-owned homes on the market. And #2... the banking industry does collapse under the weight of all those not repaid loans.

The solution? Well.... more Government "help" of course! Is anyone else remembering the prophetic words of the late, great Ronald Reagan about now? "The nine most feared words in the English language are: I'm from the Government and I'm here to help." But... when government is firmly in the grasp of a collection of statists, Marxists and communists.... what the hell do you expect?

So banks get bailed out.... with our tax dollars of course.... and the state owned housing industry of Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae end up taking over the vast majority of the "toxic" loans... and collecting the deeds to the property as well. Nice little land grab there! Oh... and while you *were* watching... the democrats demonized the banking executives and castigated them for taking bonuses. Meanwhile.... as you were paying attention to that.... the same government turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the executives of Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac taking bonuses of up to $22 MILLION dollars! No.... not in total... that was to just ONE man. The total is far higher.

Meanwhile Obama decides *HE* doesn't like the way things are going in the auto industry. Why? Sales are down and some companies have their books just bleeding red ink. And a closer examination shows that Government mandates on the industry combined with unrealistic Union wages and benefits.... and a shaky economy are making things really tough. The solution? The obvious one is a chapter 13 reorganization bankruptcy. But... Obama has a better idea! He'll just take over General Motors and Chrysler instead!

And so Obama "fires" the head of GM... a guy with over 40 years of automobile experience under his belt.... and replaces him with a kid who didn't even finish college and who had absolutely NO business experience whatsoever. BRILLIANT! Only the genius brain of Obama could have come up with that as a solution. And to make things even better... the democrat controlled Congress puts yet another mandate on the auto industry by raising the CAFE fuel average again. Thank you, democrats! Not only do you not get it... but you *really* don't get it!

As a result.... GM and Chrysler are pretty much forced to change their focus and concentrate on making the cars that Obama and Congress want. Thus we have 536 bureaucrats (100 senators, 435 members of the house + 1 president) deciding what the people should be buying and driving. Sounds a bit like Germany under Hitler and the invention of "the peoples car" which was the famous VW Beetle. Sadly nothing so popular or practical came from this bunch. Sales for the Government Motors group are in a nose dive. What to do.... what to do?

BINGO!! Cash for clunkers! A "government program" (I see disaster ahead!) designed to make it attractive for people to trade in their old "clunkers" and get a new, government approved, gas sipper of a car. Like all government programs there was paperwork and requirements out the wazoo. The one I like best was the one where the dealers had to "destroy" the drive train of the "clunker" when they took the car in. (The government even told them specifically how to do this)

What happened? Well... the public, given the choice, went to companies like Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai and KIA for their cars by a large margin. Ford, because they didn't take any bailout money, got the most American car business with GM and Chrysler bringing up the rear.

Then the fun really starts! The government fails to send out the money to the dealers to pay their subsidy for all those "clunkers" they took in and disabled as per government mandate! Which meant that now, rather than having a used car you can sell to recoup your investment you have a pile of scrap metal on wheels. HINT: When doing business with the Government... GET YOUR MONEY FIRST! If you don't your next option is to drop trow.... bend over... grab the ankles... and wait for your reward.

And of course who could forget the "Stimulus" program. Otherwise known more realistically as the "Democrat slush fund for the 2010 and 2012 election cycle" fund. The only thing shovel ready about that boondoggle was the fact that you needed a shovel to keep the BS from getting too deep during the sales pitch. As we get closer to the elections watch those purse strings get loose.... especially in states where a democrat is loosing his or her ass to a republican. What democrats can't honestly win... they will attempt to buy.... or get by any means possible.

Speaking of which.... let's not forget the great Health Care reform act. As Queen Nancy said just last week.... "We are going to get health care passed for the American people!" Thank you SO very much Madam Speaker..... but there is just one tiny little problem with that statement. The "American People" have spoken and said.... "Keep you damn hands OFF our health care!" Only 33% of the people are in favor of health care reform.... and that's according to a CNN poll. (Not exactly a right wing leaning group there)

In town hall meetings and in parades and peaceful gatherings and demonstrations... the people of this nation have made it *very* clear that we DO NOT want government taking over our health care and 1/6th of the nations economy. However... our elected representatives seem to forget who works for whom. They feel that we are far too stupid to understand what is good for us and that they must decide for us.... for our own good. Once again the words of Reagan come echoing out of the past..... "Government is the problem.... NOT the solution!"

In the state of the union address last week.... was I the only one who noticed that the President never informed us what the state of the union was? Perhaps that point alone says more than the rest of his 74 minute disjointed ramblings. And don't even get me started on this insolent out of place and uncalled for insult to the Supreme Court Justices.

Just remember.... I tried to warn you this was coming.

Can Liberals THINK & REASON?

Nearly a full year after the second coming was elected Americans have one burning question. Can liberals think and reason? More and more it seems that the answer is a resounding NO!

Today's "job summit" at the White House was a prime example of the lefts complete failure to generate a cogent thought. The "alleged" reason for this summit was to figure out (firstly) Why the economy isn't generating more jobs and (secondly) what can be done to fix the problem?

Now with that agenda would you not think it a good idea to perhaps include *business* people or their representatives in such a meeting? Of course you would because *you* can think and reason! However we're talking Uber Liberals here... not real Americans. So organizations like the Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce were......... Dis invited. No need for their slanted form of input.

Oddly enough the President actually manged to state the problem accurately. Businesses are struggling in uncertain times and growing financial obligations. (Taxes to you and me) As for the uncertain times.... we've got the possibility of "cap & trade" still looming large.... the massive government takeover of the health care industry..... Obama potentially signing on to some sort of global climate change pact in Copenhagen.... all of which mean HUGE tax increases.... and uncertainly is damn near an understatement!

SO! The Obama solution to these fairly obvious problems? Blame business for operating under conservative business models, reducing costs and trying to stay open and productive! "Whaaaaaaa! I'm responsible for creating all these problems.... but I'm not man enough to nut up and admit it so I'm going to blame the victims of my stupidity instead!" Obama.... the man-child wimp in Chief.

How about we take a look back at history, shall we? When were the last two times that our economy took off and things were booming? Come on.... you can do it.... you know the answers. As a hint I'll tell you that one President was a Democrat and the other was a Republican. Got it now? Okay..... the economy took off after the elections of John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.

What do those two presidents have in common? Two things. 1st they both had uncommon faith in the ability of the American people to achieve if unshackled by government. 2nd they both were bright enough to CUT TAXES and free the economic engine of this great nation. So with money to invest and government not throwing up roadblocks.... America's economy went gangbusters. If liberals could think and reason the answer to the current economic decline would be slapping them in the face.

Sadly.... they *know* the answers and they *know* that they work every time they are tried. So why not implement them you ask? Simple really. The solution runs counter to the objective of the left. You remember Obama's campaign promise "To fundamentally remake America"? IF we had a thriving conservative capitalist system before.... and you fundamentally changed that... what's left?

You have three choices.... Socialism, Communism or Fascism. If you want another option it's Totalitarianism. All systems that have enslaved people, broken wills and spirits and destroyed economies every single time and place they've been foisted upon a people and a land.

And looking at history again (something the left never does... or if they do they never seem to learn from it) I ask... who does benefit from any of those systems? Hint.... it's not the people. Nope... it's the masters... those at the very top.... the ones "better and smarter" than the common folk they enslave. The Elite. (By their own proclamation.... not ours)

So the complete and total destruction of the American economy means nothing to them so long as they remain in power. And, oddly enough, destroying the economy is exactly how they plan on staying in power! How so? you might wisely ask. If you are out of work.... don't have a support network of family or friends.... what are your choices?

Unemployment "insurance", food stamps and welfare. And *those* all come from..... Government! Oh JOY!! And you quickly forget that Government stupidity was responsible for your quandary.... and all you know is that Government is giving you a place to stay... putting food on the table.... and a few bucks in your charity donated pants. Lucky you! And just think... to keep all this wonderful stuff..... all you have to do it keep voting democrat. Then you can kick back and enjoy your pointless dead end life and watch your children grow up to be perpetual wards of the state. Yippie!

Plain and simple... that is exactly their plan and the election of Obama is their one big chance to get it all done after nearly 90 years of incrementalism. Haven't you noticed how everything HAS to be done RIGHT NOW? Read the legislation? Who has time to do that? This is too important! Have to pass the "stimulus" (porkulus) bill! Have to pass Cap & Tax..... errrr Trade! Have to pass Health care reform! Have to sign our country away to the globalists at Copenhagen! It all has to be done NOW because the left may not have a chance later. THIS is their golden opportunity to socialize America.

As Rahm Emanuel said: "We can't afford to let a perfectly good crisis go to waste!" A crisis of their making.... but a crisis none the less. And exactly what has been the direct result of all their *have to do it NOW!* legislation? More spending than all the other presidents combined, for starters. A doubling of the national debt in less than 6 months in office. A take over of two out of three of the major U.S. auto makers. The planned take over of 1/6th of the nations economy if health care passes. A take over of large portions of the financial sector. Government take over of a large chunk of the housing market. The destruction of the economy if cap and trade becomes law and that destruction enhanced if the accords in Copenhagen are signed! Good enough for starters?

Oh... and by the way... the ONLY U.S. auto maker to show a profit in the third quarter of 2009? One guess.... and it's NOT Government.... I mean General Motors or Chrysler. Yep! FORD! capitalists building cars that consumers want.... NOT what government says they have to build. Imagine that! Pretty much pokes a stick in the eye of all those liberals who keep telling us capitalism is a failed model, doesn't it.

There are two sides in this battle for freedom and they are not republican and democrat. Nor are they liberal vs conservative. It's a battle between lies and the truth. One side has to lie to hide who they are and what they want. The other side doesn't. One side cooks the books (see the CRU meltdown) to falsely "prove" their side while the other side only has to point to history. One side has to be constantly propped up and covered for by a subservient media and a co-conspiritorial education system..... the other doesn't. That makes it an easy choice. Are we Venezuela yet?

Hey gang. It's been awhile again. Frankly I've been hoping to wake up and all those communists and socialists occupying our government would be gone and *real* Americans would be in charge. However I'm awake and my beloved country is being whittled away and destroyed more and more each and every day. Come to think of it the same thing is happening to all of our rights!

The challenge for you today.... your homework if you will.... is to scour the Constitution and point out exactly where in that document it says the the government not only has the right to mandate health care for all citizens but also has the authority to fine and imprison anyone who refuses to bow to their mandate.

Oh yeah... you hear me right. In bold up there is really does say fine and imprison. The so called "government option" is really a mandatory government dictate. There is actually NO option at all in their scheme. When ANY change in the health insurance plan you are paying for now occurs your are REQUIRED to move into the "public option" rather than keep your plan. (Some option, huh?) If you *refuse* to take the government insurance you will be fined 2% of your gross income. (that's 2% of all the money you made... not what's left over after taxes and bills.... okay)

You also don't have the option of not paying that fine because the health care bill also contains 13 pages of changes to the IRS... one of which gives them direct access to your bank accounts! So you can refuse to pay... and they will suck all your bank accounts dry until they have their pound of flesh.... and too freaking bad if you can't pay your rent or buy food.

If you haven't learned your lesson yet and still refuse to comply with the dictates of our "we know what is best for you" government.... your next lesson in obedience is a $250,000 fine accompanied by 5 years in Federal Prison. (Where at least you WILL get government health care like it or not)

Perhaps you'll choose to do what I do and rail against these communist policies via the Internet. Well... enjoy *that* right while we still have it. There is something called the "Net Neutrality Act" working it's way through the darker passageways of Congress. You see.. for some reason or other our lawmakers think that the Internet just isn't fair.

Hmmmm.... you can get on it anywhere from Arabia to Zimbabwe so long as there is at least a phone line handy. You can pretty much search for and do anything you like... except for in China where they control access to content for their citizens already. So except for China.... what is NOT fair about the Internet?

Basically it boils down to being a control issue. Independent companies provide access to the global network which means that the Government has no control over that access. So Net Neutrality not only transfers access control from private hands to the government but also gives them total control over everything you are permitted to do on the Internet. Go ahead... post an anti-government comment on your blog.... IF you want that knock on your door in the middle of the night.

And don't think they have forgotten about conservative talk radio either. While the "fairness doctrine" may have gone down the toilet they can still shut things down via other routes. The new "Diversity Czar" at the FCC proudly proclaims that Hugo Chavez (and his dictatorial policies) is one of his role models and heroes! He admires the way Chavez took over all the radio stations in Venezuela so HE could "control the message." Geee... there's that word again... control. There seems to be a pattern developing here.

In this case the FCC will claim that IF a radio station is broadcasting Rush Limbaugh, for example, then doing so is taking away from what should be the "local content" of the station. Subjecting listeners to a nationally syndicated program is a "disservice" to them and must be countered by someone locally with a different opinion.

Now if you are either the owner of this station or the director of programming you just got a big nightmare dropped in your lap. You signed on to carry Rush because people *listen* to him and therefore also listen to the advertisements you run during his 3 hours. That generates money for your station AND the people who pay to run those ads.

Now... who is going to pay good money to buy ad time on a local content program hosted by someone who will likely come off as an uninformed dingbat compared to Limbaugh. No one. Thus you end up with having to program 3 hours of air time that generates no money for your station. BUT... if you drop Limbaugh then you can maybe find something else to run.... like "Suzie talks Sewing" or perhaps something even more exciting like "Carl's Crappie fishing tips."

Check your history books.... one's not rewritten and revised by leftists.... and you'll discover there is nothing new about the government trying to control radio. They passed a "fairness doctrine" in the 60's and radio sucked stagnant pond water as a result. There was music and then talk about raising hogs and making quilts.... it sucked. Then Ronald Reagan ordered that law rescinded and we've had truly free and fair radio since then.

There is also the "Cap and Trade" bill to worry about. That will basically double all your energy costs... yes... including all your utility bills for your home and the gasoline you put into your car. The higher energy costs... ostensibly mandated to lower our carbon emissions..... will mean that companies will have to figure out how to cover their increased operating costs. Fastest way to have more money available.... fire people. So prices go up, production goes down and unemployment goes up. Yeah... I can see how that's going to be good for America!

Understand that all of these policies are designed to do something else that's not on most peoples radar screens yet. And it's like that frog who is placed into a pot of cold water and then the fire is set to low..... and by the time the frog figures out that there is a problem.... he's dead! Likewise by the time the public figures out what these communists are doing to our nation it will be too late to reverse course.

Dirty little secret time. ALL of their programs and new laws are designed to increase uncertainty, unemployment and fear. Why? So the people will eventually demand the government step in and "solve the problem." (While forgetting or not being fully aware of the fact that it was *government* which created the problem!) The plan is to make more and more people totally dependent upon the government for their existence.

We're already to the point at which nearly 47% of the people in this country literally pay no federal taxes. If they can just make a few million more people unemployed.... they can get that number over 50%. Once you pass that magic 50% point we're going to be a socialist / communist country from that point onward. People who are not paying taxes (remember... they get a refund of what they do pay) are NOT going to vote out of office the people they perceive as "taking care of them."

They get public housing.... food stamps... WIC.... Medicaid... and perhaps even some menial government job. Their mindset becomes.... "Don't rock the boat" and they settle into a life of mediocrity. Rather than being free to strive for better for themselves and their families they become enslaved by government handouts. Rather than thriving capitalism we suffer under the stagnation of socialism and central planning.

You might be old enough to remember how well that central planning thing worked for the old Soviet Union. Oh yeah.... that system failed and collapsed. (sigh) Good thing OUR communists and socialists running the nation now are *much* smarter than that bunch and bright enough to make that failed system work this time. Although *why* they think that, in light of the fact that neither form of government has ever lead to the prosperity America has enjoyed under capitalism, is a mystery to me.

Bottom line tonight.... is that you can either get ready to bend over and grab the ankles..... take that government shafting with a smile.... OR you can nut up and rail against all of their plans to remake our beloved country into some sort of leftist wasteland. I know my elected representatives are probably damn tired of hearing from me lately. But I *do* also write them to give them a pat on the back when they take the right stand too.

If you don't have YOUR elected representatives e-mail address saved in your computers address book.... you need to get it there and start speaking your mind and making your view point known. Remember.... the way our government is constituted.... THEY work for US... not the other way around. Make sure your representative understands that fact. It's only YOUR government IF you make the effort to participate. DO IT!

No surprise to me!

Even though I've not posted in a while those who have read past articles should have seen the latest White House attack coming a mile away. Yep... the White House is going after the media. Seems that that old pesky "freedom of the press" part of the Bill of Rights (See 1st amendment) is becoming a problem for a certain very liberal President and his band of cronies.

Now if you happen to be one of the vast majority of media outlets you have absolutely nothing to fear from this latest unhinged attack cycle. Nope! Just keep taking dictation and dutifully parroting everything you're told by the White House and you're home free.... favored even! BUT! If you commit the unforgivable SIN of actually reporting both sides of an issue.... WELL! THAT kind of irresponsible journalism just will not be tolerated. Not by THIS White House!

In a previous time Napoleon Bonaparte said: "I fear the newspapers more than a hundred thousand bayonets." Why would that be? Because honestly researched well documented unbiased reporting CAN do a lot of damage IF you have something to hide. Does Obama have anything to hide?

Hell.... you tell me! I haven't seen his birth certificate, kindergarten records, elementary school records, high school records, college transcripts, college essays or any of a number of other important documents. Why? Well he's got a small army of high paid lawyers running around the country and the world making *sure* that facts about his past STAY buried. And now that he's President.... he's got the DOJ to sic on anyone who files a freedom of information petition to get such information.

So who has the pleasure of being in the White House cross hairs? FOX News, of course! Do you realize the evil they are doing? They have the unmitigated gall to actually give us BOTH sides of an issue and let US make up our own minds about what we should think about that. Oh the HORROR!

Hell... every liberal knows US citizens are dumber than a mud fence. How could such a collection of rubes be expected to absorb facts and make decisions? Clearly, in their lofty opinion, what we need is what main stream media gives us. Pre-digested government talking points and clear instruction on what we should think and feel about the subject. Oddly enough these very same liberals think it fair to fine us and punish us when we *don't* understand the 17,000 page Federal Tax Code! Am I the only one to see a disconnect here?

Ive been telling you for years now that liberalism is communism lite. Are you coming around yet? If the steps of controlling the masses the communist manifesto teaches aren't enough for you then grab a copy of Saul Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals" and give that a read. Identify the enemy, isolate them, ridicule them, marginalize them, ignore them. Right now the White House has checked off all those steps in order... except the last one.

And, of course, they are right to want to ignore FOX news. After all... if you were that bunch... would *you* want to face REAL reporters asking unscripted tough questions? Hell no! Much safer to go on ABC, CBS, NBC MSNBC, CNN, PBS or any of the other left wing media outlets and pretend to answer the questions that you sent to them before hand. This makes you look good and ensures that your message gets out.... and ONLY your message. Liberal government is like a Mobius strip..... it presents only one side. We living in the real world, however, know that there are two sides to every issue.

Now the leftists have managed to take over 99% of the media. Good for them. Want an easy job? Become a "reporter" for any left wing media outlet. Simply take a look at the New York Times.... that tells you what the hot topics are for the daily news cycle. Then pick an issue.... refer to the Times article to give you efforts credibility.... and then use your own words to tell us what they said in their article. Presto! You're a highly paid, well respected member of the media.

But what about that last 1%? Well... they are reviled by the elite in the media. They don't get their talking points from the White House and don't check with the NYT before reporting on a story. They ask the questions you and I would ask... the old "who, what, why, when, where and how" that *used* to be the mainstay of journalism. (prior to the liberal takeover) Facts matter more than talking points and if the facts lead down a path no one else it following... so be it. The fact that the White House can't deal with a point of view that differs from theirs is very telling. Why do they FEAR the truth?

Deaf on the Left

It's been a while since my last post. I made an attempt a while back but encountered some sort of programming issue that I just could not circumvent. For some reason or other the program seemed to think there was an invalid URL in my posting. Why? Beats the hell outta me. I gave up and deleted the posting after roughly two hours of frustration.

Otherwise I've been astounded by the speed at which the left has our nation heading toward socialism. The American people ARE speaking out and they are attempting to make their voices heard. The problem seems to be that those on the left have all gone stone cold deaf.

I find it amazing that the liberals can dispatch a TV crew on a two hour one way drive to cover 3 people protesting Glenn Beck getting the keys to his home town in Washington state. Yet that very same media somehow managed to miss the million plus folks who turned out in Washington DC. FOX news didn't seem to have that same problem though.... so the word did get out that the people of this country DO NOT like all these "changes" the left wants to make.

Even democrats were at the protest! They say they did want change but Obama is going way beyond what they thought they were voting for. OH... another minor point about this protest gathering. After the inauguration of Obama it took well over a week to clean up the massive mess the liberals left in their wake. After the 9/12 protest march you couldn't even tell it had happened. No trash.... no mess..... and not one single arrest or incident of any type.

I think that serves to illustrate the fundamental difference between those on the left and those of us on the right. Their side lacks respect for anything. They openly hate anyone who disagrees with them. They lack respect for our country and our laws. They refuse to engage in any type of rational discussion on the issues. They run out of intellectual ammunition quickly and resort to either repeating liberal talking points or disintegrate directly into name calling.

Those of us on the right are grounded in the principles which our founding fathers believed in. We believe in the fundamental ability of free men to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. We believe in Government that is constitutionally limited and performs only those functions granted by the constitution. We believe in the basic goodness of our fellow man and their natural tendency to do the right thing. We have respect for the constitution and this great country. In short we are the polar opposite of those on the left.

Since Obama was elected those on the left have demonstrated repeatedly that they have NO respect for this country, the Constitution or the American people. No matter what "We the people" have to say they dismiss us and do what ever they want. It is clear that an overwhelming majority of American people DO NOT want their health care system messed with.

Yet the left refuses to listen and seems intent upon passing a health care "reform" bill no matter what we tell them. And as usual they quickly run out of intellectual ammunition and even the speaker of the house resorts to calling American citizens "Nazis" who bring "swastika" to protest meetings. That is the level of "respect" the left has for *anyone* who dares disagree with them. They will not discuss. They will not debate. They will not listen. Miss Pelosi has, in fact, killed every single republican attempt to debate health care and banned them from all meetings on the subject. That's how "bi-partisan" works when the left is in charge.

The more the left ignores the American people.... and the more they try to ram their warped political agenda down our throats... the more the resistance grows. The march on 9/12 was peanuts compared to what is coming. This is a center-right nation.... NOT a left leaning on as the left thinks. We WILL NOT be making the trip to socialism no matter what they do. If nothing else the left has clearly demonstrated that they cannot be trusted with power. They cannot be trusted with the defense of this nation.... and they cannot be trusted to chart our future path. The sooner they are removed from office the better.

545 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we still have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we still have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a Federal budget. The President does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 Congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court Justices, 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, individually, and criminally responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a Federally chartered, but private, central bank. I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a Senator, a Congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Yet those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con-job regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the Speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence, irresponsibility and border-line treason! I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the Federal Government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ .
If Congress does not receive social security but is on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are NO insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote ALL of them out of office at the next election and clean up their mess!

What you do with this article now that you have read it is up to you, though you appear to have several choices.

1. You can send this to everyone in your address book, and hope they do something about it.
2. You can agree to vote against EVERYONE that is currently in office, knowing that the process will take several years.
3. You can decide to run for office yourself and agree to do the job properly.
4. Lastly, you can sit back and do nothing, or re-elect the current bunch.

YOU DECIDE, BUT AT LEAST SEND IT TO EVERYONE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, MAYBE SOMEONE IN THERE WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Dirty tricks... and real hope

Try this on for size: On June 25, 2007, the House passed the, Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Act, HR 1281, which will prohibit and punish deceptive practices that aim to keep voters away from the polls on Election Day. This bill protects every American citizen’s right to vote by making voter deception, for the first time, a crime.

This was gleaned from the web site of none other than Nancy Pelosi! This just might actually mean that there IS a God after all. Why my obvious joy over a new law covering something which was already a crime? Because NOW the Republicans might actually be able to file Federal charges against the Democrats in the House and, possibly, the Senate when they are “locked out” on votes or tricked into not being present.

Want an example? On June 16th 2009 at 6:30 pm Congressional Democrat leaders informed their colleagues [that] there would be no further votes that day. Being the trusting souls Republicans generally are… our side packed up and headed home for the night.

Two hours later house leadership calls for everyone to return to the house floor for “emergency votes” on a series of amendments to an appropriations bill. As you might expect almost no Republican House member made it to the vote. If fact most didn’t even find out until well after the fact.

Two of these “emergency votes” dealt with giving OUR tax money to ACORN, a group which is under investigation for voter fraud in 16 different states, and the third vote was on an amendment asking for an investigation into Ms. Pelosi for her claims that the CIA “lied” to her in briefings.

I’m a regular sort of guy but, it seems to me, that the party in power (Democrats) were afraid to have an open and honest debate on these amendments. This lead to their ploy of misleading the opposition about further votes which effectively prevented them from performing their constitutional obligations as Representatives. In short… WE were disenfranchised in this process because OUR elected representatives were deliberately deceived by the Democrats.

Now in reading this bill it is clearly aimed at “regular” voters and “Federal” elections. However, could the Republicans not make the case that voter intimidation and deceptive practices are a crime no matter when or where they occur so long as it is the business of the people which is being conducted and that business requires a vote to be cast?

Politics being what they are I realize that this would be a double edged sword. In order to minimize all that nasty “debating” over fine points of legislation majority parties have routinely blocked minority input. This is particularly true when the minority has no hope of mustering enough votes for blocking action later. As the old saying goes…. There are two things you don’t want to see being made… Sausage and Legislation. Both can be messy processes.

None the less those folks in the House and Senate are our Representatives. Either side preventing the other from full participation in the legislative process does a disservice to the American Electorate. They, in essence, disenfranchise the electorate and prevent our voice from being heard.

On other fronts it seems that, for now, cap and trade is going nowhere. Democrats, however, being masters of incrementalism, will simply chop the larger legislation into more “bite size” pieces and sneak it into other legislation which must pass to keep some critical item funded.

Thus instead of the monster simply appearing on the scene “Frankenstein” will eventually be brought to life as all it’s separate bit’s and pieces are sewn together. In the end this will turn out opposite of the movies. The monster the left will create will destroy the village and all it’s people through insanely punitive taxation.

Meanwhile, we the people can never take our eyes off those in Washington. HINT: If the House and Senate are in session YOU are loosing rights and freedoms! Think not? What are laws and regulations but limits on either your rights or your freedoms or both? Even now the left is working on yet another way to destroy our way of life.

They are working on legislation which will mandate that ANY house sold in the United States MUST meet current California energy standards. HUH? States Rights anyone? Like everything else the left does.... It “sounds” like a good idea on the surface. With the left you must always look deeper.

If you are the owner of a fairly typical home and nearing retirement… your house was probably built in the late 50’s or 60’s somewhere. It’s served you will over the years but now you and the wife are ready to enjoy your golden years together. You’d like to sell the home… invest some of the money and perhaps get a little motor home and tour the country. SORRY!

No…. if this turkey passes you’re be forbidden from selling your home as it is. No… you’ll have to first bring the entire structure up to whatever the current California building code standards are. This is inclusive of all structural, electrical, material and energy efficiency standards.

There hasn’t been an earthquake where you live since the Triassic…. BUT you are REQUIRED to make sure your home is built to California earthquake standards. You have to make sure that it is equipped with the most current and most energy efficient appliances. (Which all must also meet California standards)

Does the wall and ceiling insulation meet California standards? How about the shingles? Those have to resist those pesky California wild fires you know…. Even though you happen to live in Minnesota.

Bottom line…. If you own a home now…. You’re stuck with it forever…. OR you’re rich enough to jump through all the government hoops to bring it up to California code.

And if you DO have money…. That’s not going to last long either because “someone” is going to have to pay for this 9 TRILLION dollars in debt the Democrat Party wants to strap us with.
In case you might have forgot….. President Obama and his Party have managed to spend in 6 months more money than have ALL the presidents who preceded him.

I don’t know about you but MY wallet can’t shell out the extra $4000 in taxes that obligates *every* American to pay. Between my wife and I what that means is that one of us will be working for the government full time without pay.

Unless the Democrats pull something else sneaky… there IS another election coming…. We CAN give control of the country back to the people who make it work…. And not just the blue splinter on either coast. Get busy NOW…. Or risk the fall of America.

The destruction continues...

It seems that the liberals just can't get enough of destruction. The good part is that they have now been in power (and iron fisted control) long enough that the constant drone of "It's all Bush's fault" isn't floating any more. Even though just today Obama whined again "We inherited a massive deficit" for the millionth time. For the record... even WITH the cost of the TWO wars.... the deficit when Obama took office was only 530 billion.

Obama quickly rammed through his wonderful "stimulus" program. If memory serves me that gem had a tab of 780 billion. Seems to me that's just a bit more than 250 billion MORE in debt that what he inherited. How, exactly, is that additional 250 Billion Bush's fault? He also inherited an unemployment figure of 4.8% Since his "Stimulus" program passed the unemployment rate has more than doubled to just shy of 10%! How's that Hope and Change working out for ya?

Without having the constitutional authority to do so Obama has taken over 2/3 of the US auto industry. Only Ford managed to escape his power grab. How? By having the sense to NOT to ask the Federal Government for any bailout money. As both GM and Chrysler discovered... Federal money ALWAYS comes with strings attached. In the case of the Obama administration those strings are more like ropes.

George Bush could have never gotten away with the same thing. Between the media and the liberal controlled house and senate we'd have never heard the end of the screaming and "outrage." However with Obama.... the spin is that government control is the ONLY way to "save" the auto industry. Amazing what a difference "party" makes isn't it? Government running the auto industry is like taking flying lessons from one of the 911 hijackers. Oh... wait... they didn't do too well at that landing thing did they? Minor point.

So now that the administration as wrecked the auto industry, totally screwed up the banking industry and mismanaged the housing market... what is next in their gun sights to destroy? Your HEALTH!!! Yep! Now Obama thinks that the ONLY thing that will help the health care industry is a government takeover. CLUE!!! the health care industry is in the shape it's in now BECAUSE of government interference... NOT due to the lack of it. As a matter of fact it can all be laid at the feet of one Ted Kennedy.... without whom we'd not have HMO's and all their bureaucratic red tape and bull shit.

As with everything else... once government gets it's massive foot in the door you simply cannot get rid of them. Knowing that fact alone will give you a HUGE clue as to why the left is in SUCH a hurry to get all this government stuff passed into law. IF they can get their foot in the door then we're all stuck with government interference forever. And total government control is what the Obama administration is all about.

Obama has already appointed more Czar's than Russia had in it's entire history! Obama just appointed his 27th "Czar" this week. These people are accountable to NO ONE other than Obama himself. They do not have to undergo any congressional approval process or scrutiny as do cabinet members.

These Czars have the power and the authority of the office of the President yet answer to no one but Obama. Even if they were so inclined... even congress has no control over these people. Believe it or not... there is even an "executive compensation" czar who gets to dictate what the heads of companies get paid. Anyone who thinks Socialism isn't coming fast needs medication to end their delusions.

Folks... it's no more complicated than this: The left is in TOTAL control of government right now and they are going to use that power to remake America as they think it ought to be. We the people be dammed! The Constitution be damned! The rule of law be damned! Those things are no more than inconveniences for the statists who crave limitless power and control.

We've all seen what happens when the left gets it's way. They march out with lots of "good intentions" but little or no actual thought about the ultimate results of their schemes. As with the recent housing problem.... who could fault the left for wanting to see that everyone had a house. Seems fair... right?

So they pass a LAW that mandates banks make housing loans to people who clearly do not qualify for them. Even if you DIDN'T HAVE A JOB you could still get a home loan!! What folly!

Yet... when the predictable happens as a direct result of this law.... and the people who couldn't afford the loan default.... congress is held blameless. Oh, no. It's NOT their fault... why... they had good intentions! No... it's all the fault of those evil bankers who had NO CHOICE but to make the bad loans or face federal prosecution. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd get a total pass for causing the housing collapse. Amazing! You're going to see much more of that sort of thing in the future as still more of their misguided and myopic schemes go south.

Meanwhile.... this coming 4th of July... take a moment to reflect deeply upon the greatness that was the United States of America. If the statists get their way for the rest of Obama's term.... your children will have no idea how great the country they inherit once was.

An open letter to President Obama and the Statists on the left.


Dear President Obama et. al.

Please destroy my country. Freedom, Liberty, Justice and the Rule of Law are all outdated concepts and obviously have no place in the "progressive" world of today.

Please destroy my country. The Founding Fathers were nothing more than greedy white people who only came here from England to subjugate the native people, exploit the natural resources and pollute the environment.

Please destroy my country. All those brave men and women who gave their lives for this great experiment called The United States of America meant nothing and were given in vain.

Please destroy my country. The nation that has done more than any other in the entire history of the world to promote world peace, equality and freedom has obviously been wrong in advancing these causes. Clearly we were never fit to lead the world and deserve to be cut down to size.

Please destroy my country. The nation who has lead the world in technological advances, put men on the moon and is the Mecca for the best in health care has accomplished all this for the wrong reasons and should be punished.

Please destroy my country. Those of us known derisively as "conservatives" have been wrong in asserting that life is sacred. We now realize that the unborn citizens of this formerly great nation have NO inherent right to be born. In fact it's now clear to us that they may be killed without guilt or consequence at any stage of their pointless existence just as long as it's convenient for us.

Please destroy my country. The individual right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness no longer applies as those "rights" do not fit into the greater needs and goals of the collective.

Please destroy my country. What were the Founding Fathers thinking? Government was supposed to be a servant OF the people and not their master? What do common people know about what's best for them? Clearly we've been deceived and need much more government control in our lives... not less.

Please destroy my country. Make us less dependent on foreign energy by NOT allowing us to drill for and produce our own oil... by demonizing our greatest resource, coal, and by taxing carbon dioxide as a "pollutant" even though all living creatures exhale this gas.

Please destroy my country. Free markets and free enterprise... concepts which made American the greatest and most powerful nation in the history of the world... were obviously wrong. That which has failed everywhere it's been tried, socialism, is clearly the path we must now take. How could we have not realized this sooner?

Please destroy my country. When rogue nations are trying to build nuclear weapons and construct missiles to bring them to our shores.... condone the weapons and de-fund our missile defense shield. Don't make anyone "mad" at us.

Please destroy my country. For far too long we have been able to work towards our own self interests... to earn and save money... to acquire that which makes our lives and the lives of those we care about comfortable and worth while. This has clearly been selfish. We should have been laboring for the benefit of those who lack the drive and ambition to better themselves and improve their lives on their own.

Please destroy my country. Though founded and grounded in free men freely practicing religion on their own.... free of government prohibition or mandate... America clearly has no need for these beliefs today. What god do Americans need beyond Government? What need is there of morals and morality when government and statists will gladly tell us how to live our lives?

Please destroy my country. My grandfather fought in World War I. My father arrived at Pearl Harbor while it was still smoking and fought in the Pacific in World War II. I fought in the Vietnam War and served in many countries including Germany until medically retired. Both my sons-in-law served in Iraq with a total of 6 tours between them. One son-in-law still serves in the US Air Force today. Clearly we were all wrong to have thought that silly notions like freedom and liberty were worth risking our lives over. We obviously have no need for such things and have no right to try to bestow those blessings upon any other people of the world. All anyone needs is government.

Clearly the Founding Fathers had it all wrong as you and your statist allies are happily pointing out to us all now. We had no need for the Declaration of Independence because you are showing us that we must ALL be dependent upon Government for everything. Nation states are pointless. We need One World Government to best serve the collective needs of the world population.

The Constitution of the United States is an old out dated document which has no real value today. It was written by a bunch of greedy Europeans who made it too limiting on government and too difficult to change as times changed. Clearly all the statists in Washington DC today know FAR better than the founders so they should be able to ignore the Constitution if it better serves their needs to do so.

While it's sad that everyone from the Founding Fathers to the men and women in uniform today all had it wrong... Fighting and dying for silly concepts like freedom and liberty for over two hundred years. Thank Government that Obama and his Statist buddies are in power now and more than willing to reverse those two hundred years of pointless folly.

How's that Hope & Change working out for you?

I'm personally suffering from "Obama Overload Syndrome." It's a malady brought on by the sycophantic media's love fest with Mr. Obama. I've seen more Obama face time on TV in the last 120 days than I saw of President Bush in 8 years. If Barrack blows his nose it's a breaking news story covered by all the left leaning networks. They seem to feel that the world at large is as in love with the guy as they are. Hint.. we are not!

Meanwhile, under the radar, Obama has submitted the names of his "first batch" of US attorney's to be replaced. As his new attorney general stated, "Elections have consequences and we are going to move to install attorneys which reflect Obama's views." News coverage by the main stream media? As close to zip as you can get. What coverage there is eagerly proclaims the President's right to replace US attorneys at any time for any reason.... or for no reason at all. If that's true then why did they raise so much hell when President Bush replaced 9 of his own appointees? With the left there is always a double standard.

Are we enjoying the rising unemployment? Something like 5.3% when the evil Bush left office and approaching 9% now. The media relentlessly hounded "W" over the "bad economy" and the terrible unemployment problem. Unemployment has nearly doubled in only 4 months of Obama yet the media ignores the story completely.

The sad part is that the full effects of Obama's lack of business skills hasn't even kicked in yet. His takeover of 2/3's of the auto industry (another issue that would have gotten "W" crucified but "O" skates on) is going to really screw things up.

The industry is in trouble and needs to sell cars and make a profit. Obama decides the best way to make the industry profitable is to cut their advertising budgets in half and close over 3000 dealerships. Let me see if I have this right. To sell more product you tell fewer people about your product and make finding a dealer more difficult. I wonder why no one ever thought of that in the past? Oddly enough the media isn't wondering about that. In fact they lack any degree of curiosity at all. They simply repeat whatever the administration says.

I haven't been able to locate any data on the selected dealers yet but somehow I suspect that there will be discovered a political component. Why? There are independent dealers... NOT factory owned. In most cases there are highly successful dealers too... just what you'd need to move vehicles.

The average dealer employs between 40 and 70 people. They have an inventory of rolling stock which averages 3.5 million dollars. They carry an additional parts inventory approaching 1 million additional dollars. The manufacturer (Obama) refuses to buy back any of their inventory. The immediate result will be 180,000 more people out of work and 3000 families forced to file bankruptcy.

The spin-off down the road is the loss of additional jobs in the affected communities. Items like lubricants, tires, batteries, uniforms, cleaning services and local advertising dollars are all going to be lost. At the same time there will be the loss of support for various organizations in the community. Charitable contributions to hospitals, girl and boy scouts, sponsorship of youth sports teams and the like will all be gone.

Then Obama steps in to "help" us with our credit. As President Reagan stated "The nine most feared words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help." How are we being "helped this time? Well! Because a lot of folks are over extended and getting behind on payments to the credit card companies.... the government says the companies can charge the folks who AREN'T behind on their payments MORE money so that money can be applied to the debt of the others.

Huh? What the hell am I missing here? Oh wait.... Obama did say while he was campaigning that his goal was to "spread the wealth around." Screwing those citizens who are working hard to do the right thing certainly doesn't seem to be fair though. Won't that ultimately put more folks behind on their payments?

Think about conservatives and liberals like this.... Conservatives try to elevate everyone so that they can achieve all they wish in their lives. It's the rising tide that raises all boats. Liberals think it's "unfair" that some people work hard and achieve more than others. In their view all results ought to be the same regardless of the effort invested. So what happens is that the tide goes out and all the boats are stuck in the same mud at the bottom of the bay. Thus everyone is "equal" and that is what they call fair.

Watching all this unfold before my eyes is something I never thought I'd see unless I was sent to some third world dictatorship. (Think Hugo Chavez and Venezuela) Obama has nationalized part of the banking industry... nationalized 2/3's of the US auto industry... declassified CIA secrets which weaken our position when dealing with terrorists and has plans to assault the 1st and 2nd amendments to further consolidate his control of "we the people."

As I understand it... government is supposed to be limited in it's scope and be a servant OF the people. How did we get from there to here?

I did a cut and paste of the disclaimer at the bottom of the first page. As you can clearly see the contents of this report was never intended to be made known to the general public.... or "We, the People" as one famous document calls us. Question. Why do you think the government would want to keep this sort of information from the public? Answer. Because they don't want you to know what they really think of us now.

In reading the report I found it riddled with half truths and convoluted rational. There are huge "logical leaps" which are simply wishful thinking on the part of the author. What you have to remember is that Obama was NOT overwhelmingly elected. The final vote was nearly a 50/50 split. What the left is attempting to do is further consolidate their power by marginalizing the opposition. This is a scheme successfully used by authoritarian leaders of the past too.

The speaker of the house (lower case deliberately used) mocked the tea-party attendees as being out of touch and organized by rich republican interests. Rather than a grass roots movement spurned on by higher taxes, trillions in debt and government officials who refuse to listen to the electorate.. She claimed it was really an "astro-turf" movement. That means it was all fake and phony and just a bunch of paid for demonstrators. (being a huge liberal she should know about that sort of thing)

SO! Let's see if you are a radical or not. Can you be targeted by the local law enforcement folks for increased scrutiny? Do you have one of the following stickers or decals on the back of your car or truck? "US Air Force - Retired" "US Army - Retired" "Siemper fi" "USMC" "It's a life, not a choice" "McCain /Palin 2008" "National Rifle Association" "Don't blame me... I voted for a Hero, not a handout" "Nobama!" 'Palin 2112!"

If so... then YOU, my friend... are a potential radical (right wing) and need to be closely watched. Folks like that are described as being "anti-government" and "anti-taxation". (how shocking!) We tend to like things like our first and second amendment rights. (Radicalism if I ever heard of it!) We believe in government as laid out by the Founding Fathers. We favor states rights and local control over a huge bloated centralized bureaucracy trying to control every aspect of our lives. We favor limited government and low taxation. Some of us are so radical as to believe that term limits ought to be put in place to keep our elected officials from thinking of themselves as near godlike.

In reading the report you'll notice the many references to the fact that Obama is Afro-American. Since he refuses to present as valid birth certificate the truth may be that is is much more African than American. That aside the straw dog is that conservatives, I'm sorry, I mean "Right wing Radicals", are huge racists. History clearly disproves that lie. To this day the fact is that it is liberal democrats who demonstrate racists tendencies.

It was democrats who resisted the elimination of slavery. Democrats who fought to keep schools segregated. It was the democrat party who voted against the equal rights amendment. Democrats who recently killed school vouchers for poor kids in Washington DC and democrats who keep constantly bringing up race... NOT republicans. Still we are led to believe that we're all upset because there is a "black" in the White House. I can assure you that had Condi Rice or JC Watts run for President there would still be a black in the White House and the left would be screaming to high heaven about it.

What this report is is a sign of fear. Those in power in Washington DC are scared to death of the power of the people. In their arrogance they believe that only they know what is best. They do NOT want to know or hear what we think. We're only the unwashed masses and far to stupid to know what is best for us. In their elevated opinion of themselves... the last intelligent thing we did was elect them to think for us. Listen to them speak. Listen to them talk down to us. Listen to the condescending tone.

No... the left is running scared. The illusion of their political skill and power is quickly starting to crack and show the weakness of its foundation. While the main stream media is working overtime to cover up all their gaffs and blunders it's not a job they can do without error. and some "secrets" are simply too big to keep.

Take CNN for example. They chose to barely report on the over 700 tea-parties across the nation on April 15th and one CNN "reporter" actually argued with the man she was "interviewing!! Head in the sand, anyone? Does them barely reporting mean it never happened? Sounds like the Chinese and the Tienanmen Square demonstrations. Even though there are hours of film footage the Chinese governments official stand is that it never happened. This is the same attitude the main stream media has adopted. If it goes against the great Obama or casts him and his agenda in a negative light in any way.... you will not see it or hear about it.

The good news is that governments which employ these sort of tactics all eventually fail. No amount of cover and lies can support the gross injustice and disregard for the rights of the governed forever. Sooner or later the fragile house of cards they are constructing will collapse under the weight of the illusion they are attempting to maintain. The grim part is that the collapse could take years and could be very costly. The cost in in lost of income, loss of freedom, loss of rights, and in unwarranted persecution by a fearful, out of control, government.

Bill of Attainder

Definition: A legislative act that singles out an individual or group for punishment without a trial.

The Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, paragraph 3 provides that: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law will be passed."

"The Bill of Attainder Clause was intended not as a narrow, technical (and therefore soon to be outmoded) prohibition, but rather as an implementation of the separation of powers, a general safeguard against legislative exercise of the judicial function or more simply - trial by legislature." U.S. v. Brown, 381 U.S. 437, 440 (1965).

"These clauses of the Constitution are not of the broad, general nature of the Due Process Clause, but refer to rather precise legal terms which had a meaning under English law at the time the Constitution was adopted. A bill of attainder was a legislative act that singled out one or more persons and imposed punishment on them, without benefit of trial. Such actions were regarded as odious by the framers of the Constitution because it was the traditional role of a court, judging an individual case, to impose punishment." William H. Rehnquist, The Supreme Court, page 166.

"Bills of attainder, ex post facto laws, and laws impairing the obligations of contracts, are contrary to the first principles of the social compact, and to every principle of sound legislation. ... The sober people of America are weary of the fluctuating policy which has directed the public councils. They have seen with regret and indignation that sudden changes and legislative interferences, in cases affecting personal rights, become jobs in the hands of enterprising and influential speculators, and snares to the more-industrious and less-informed part of the community." James Madison, Federalist Number 44, 1788.

Supreme Court cases construing the Bill of Attainder clause include:

• Cummings v. Missouri, 4 Wallace 277 (1866).

I thought I'd lead off with the above definition since, I'm sure, it's unfamiliar territory for the majority of you. [the education and my opinions are both FREE!] The question you may be asking is "What does this mean and why should I care?" Both are valid questions and I'll attempt to answer them for you.

What does this mean? Basically the Founding Fathers had the insight to know that power tends to corrupt people, especially those lacking in character and morals. Corrupt people in positions of power tend to abuse that power to satisfy their own agenda rather than do what is their constitutional duty. As the bold print in the heading clearly states: "a bill of attainder is any legislative act which singles out an individual or group for punishment without a trial."

To clarify... let's say that you work for a large corporation. In your employment contract there is a clause defining a performance bonus. This is to be paid when your performance in your position exceeds the goals established elsewhere in your employment contract or by verbal directive from the person you report to.

Now lets pretend that your job last year was to generate 100 million in new business. (your stated objective) Let's also pretend that you busted your buns and managed to land 200 million in new business! (Way to GO!!) Your contract specifies that you get a 5% bonus for new contracts which exceed your objective. Based upon the 100 million in new business which is over your goal of 100 million.... you're eligible to receive a bonus of 5 million dollars.

You are, of course, already obligated to pay the top marginal rate on this additional income. As of 2009 that is 35%. That means the Federal Government (which did nothing to earn it) is going to demand $1,750,000 from you for your hard work. This leaves you with $3,250,000. Still... not a bad deal all things considered.

NOW let's assume that some member of Congress doesn't think that it's "fair" that you get so much money for your hard work. He's "outraged" and calls the bonus you are getting "theft" from the working class who have a "right" to your money. So... he proposes legislation to put an additional 90% tax on your bonus check to punish you for doing such a good job and being successful. So... the IRS shows up at your door and demands you turn over to them $2,925,000 in additional taxes! Congratulations! Out of your $5,000,000 bonus check you get to keep $325,000.

What has happened is that the congress person has enacted a "Bill of Attainder" which unconstitutionally singled YOU out for special taxation. You are being punished for your success without due process or a trial. Things like this are why it is important to know something about the Constitution. The Founding Fathers wrote it for a variety of reasons. It's not like they were all tossing back beers at George Washington's place and Jefferson spouts off... "Hey guys... I've got an idea.... Let's write a Constitution! That ought to be fun!"

These men had vision and foresight which still amazes to this day. They managed to think of all the ways that government could get out of hand... that people with power might abuse it... and put down in writing exactly what the roll of government was to be. What the federal government was mandated to do and what it did not have a charter to do. These defined limitations were enumerated to protect us from the power of an over reaching government and preserve our rights and freedoms. Sadly the Founding Fathers would not even recognize what the government they created has become today.

Back on message.... "What does this mean to you?" It should be clear that the example above is a parallel to the AIG incident. Congress passing a punitive additional tax on a very specific and narrowly defined group of people. "Trial by legislation and punishment enacted without due process." Just the intimidation of that possibility caused many of the AIG people to reject or return money that they were contractually due to receive. Further intimidating actions by the attorney general of the State of New York and members of ACORN have not only been illegal but bordering on terrorism.

To you it means that if the federal... or any level of government can blatantly disregard the Constitution and run roughshod over the rights of a select few people whom they want to single out... then they can do the exact same thing to YOU, if they so desire. Either the Constitution applies to all people equally or it's not worth the parchment it's written on. Worse is the fact that people... our elected representatives... who have taken an oath to protect and defend that same Constitution... seem to think that it can be invoked or ignored as they see fit. This is the true picture of power corrupting people to the point where they think themselves above the law.


As I have said in the past, elections have consequences. The American people were sold a bill of goods by the main stream media and a significant number of folks bought it hook, line and sinker. Obama said what ever he had to say to get elected and the media promoted him all the way. Hundreds of promises were made to the American people by the candidate. If you've been taking notes those "promises" are systematically being broken.

The latest to go? The promised "tax cuts for the middle class" which were going to amount to a whopping $13 a week for a married couple and $7 a week for a single person. Yes... our caring legislators simply cannot figure out any way of keeping that promise to the American people. I'd suggest they cut the pork and cancel plans to socialize the health care system... but things like that just can't be eliminated. Money for big government cannot be reduced. Money we have to live on cannot be left alone. Big government can never be expected to do with less while we are always expected to surrender our pay to government and do with less.

The good news? There isn't any right now. But... for now anyway... there is another election coming and then we have a chance to correct the problem of runaway liberalism. I still fear that these power mad liberals will figure out a way to suspend elections for reasons of "national interest" or "national security" and we'll find ourselves living under something close to marshal law until the uprising which removes them from office.
